In the year 1996 Devamatha province and Amala with a vision of constructing a super-speciality hospital purchased 23 acres of land at Kannadi, Palakkad.
But due to non-granting of permission for land conversion by Kerala State government the project was stalled for a period of five years. In the year 2001 State government granted permission for land conversion for the project. Ten acres of land from the total 23 acres were then transferred to Malabar Medical Mission Trust for the hospital project.
A CMI Bhavan was built as residence for the CMI members. His Excellency Rev. Dr. Jacob Manathodath, Bishop of Palakkad blessed the house and Rev. Fr. Jerome Cherussery CMI, Provincial Devamatha Province inaugurated the house on 17th July 2002.
