Chavara Ashram in Amalner was the long cherished dream of Chavara Mission. The purpose of this establishment is the welfare of the people especially the villagers. The beginning of this mission started with the purchase of 7.25 acres of land on Amalner - Chopada road by Rev. Fr. Raphael Kurian. It was nourished and watered by different persons, and brought to its final shape by Rev. Fr. John Arikkat and Fr. Joy Vattoly (former Mission Superior). We started a boarding school for boys in the year 2007. We provide them integral education stressing all round development of the persons by giving equal importance to mind, soul and body. This institution works also as a social centre. With a great dream this centre was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Jerome Cherussery (Provincial) on 8th September, 2006
